Famous pilot and famed collector of vintage aircrafts from throughout the history of flight, Kermit Weeks, will be attending the Sedona Airport’s “Airport Day” this September 21st. He will be signing books with me and attending a VIP reception in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, at one of the most amazing airport’s ever constructed. You should attend!
Kermit and I first met at the 75th Anniversary reception in St. Louis, Missouri in 2002, but what we didn’t realize at the time, was how important Sedona was to the two of us for various reason. If you are interested in why, attend this terrific event where a B-25 and other TBA vintage aircraft will be waiting to be photographed with us, and ask!
Check back for an updated entry here and a new entry in the Extra! Extra! section of this site regarding the details of when he and I will be signing books and discussing all things aviation/historic/or Sedona. Kermit is far more knowledgeable than I regarding the intricacies of flight; it’s a great opportunity to meet a living legend in the red rock country of northern Arizona. Nina Anderson will also be attending, and signing her book regarding the challenges of flight.
Kermit’s new book, which he will be signing, is from his All life is a School series, titled: The Spirit of Lindy. It is a terrific story that kids enjoy and which we promote at all our Flying Over Time events because of the lessons it and beautiful artwork! I will also have my new soft cover edition of my book, Spirit and Creator, which Kermit advised me on as my aviation editor. I hope you can make it!

Above, Kermit and I have known each other for a while, so I figured I’d find an interesting clip from Fantasy of Flight to post here. I didn’t know he did this video clip! It’s from his amazing venue, Fantasy of Flight, which he constructed in central Florida near Lakeland (Polk City).
