A rare 35mm documentary film still capturing the historic moment Charles A. Lindbergh and Chief Engineer Donald A. Hall Sr. shake hands in front of the Spirit of St. Louis at Dutch Flats. Charles Lindbergh on the left extends his hand with a broad smile, while Donald Hall leans forward to grip Lindbergh's hand warmly, flanked by B. F. Mahoney standing between them. Onlookers and Ryan mechanics watch the exchange from along the fuselage turtledeck, commemorating the successful completion of flight testing and mutual respect between pilot and aircraft designer.
