Spirit100 brings aviation history into public exhibits, live events, and community discussions to launch a young person's next step. Every event funds our regional network and Roots2Wings.
Spirit100 · Departure centennial
A century of possibility.
Charles Lindbergh departed Roosevelt Field on Long Island on May 20, 1927, and arrived in Paris on May 21. Today, we carry that curiosity to the next generation.
Calendar countdown as of 2026-10-12, America/Phoenix. The anniversary is separate from fundraising and program delivery.
The story has deep roots.
San Diego holds the engineering history. St. Louis provided the financial backers and the aircraft’s name. The historic transatlantic departure launched from Roosevelt Field on Long Island on May 20, 1927; Lindbergh arrived in Paris on May 21.

Our live events draw on this history to build a regional support network. Our West Coast focus spans 2027–2028, but our educational work continues long after the centennial.
Las Vegas is an early opportunity to connect.

Event dates and Flying Over Time participation are separate. A confirmed external event date does not guarantee a FOT booth. Proposed appearances remain subject to host approvals, staffing, and funding.
