Ryan NYP Forward Fuselage Structure and Oil Tank Installation (Plate #3116) (1927)

An archival master engineering negative print (plate #3116) documenting the forward fuselage of the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis with side cowlings removed. Photographed in the Ryan workshop, the image reveals the internal welded steel-tube Warren truss, diagonal cross-bracing wires, the 25-gallon nose oil tank, throttle linkage rods, and brass fuel line plumbing running from the main fuselage tank forward to the Wright J-5C Whirlwind radial engine. The lower damascened aluminum cowling panel remains installed, providing a detailed visual record of Hall's structural engineering and engine accessories.
