A macro engineering photograph detailing the attachment points and aerodynamic fairings where the streamlined steel-tube lift struts join the underside of the Ryan NYP wing. Designed by Donald A. Hall Sr. to minimize parasite drag, the teardrop aluminum fairing cuffs smoothly enclose the bolted spar fittings. The image also captures the high-gloss fabric dope finish and the black stenciled edge of the official registration letters painted across the lower wing surface at Dutch Flats.
