Donald A. Hall Estate Collection
Detroit Streetcar and Commercial Traffic at Grand Circus Park (Circa 1924)

From an elevated window overlooking downtown Detroit, Donald A. Hall Sr. documented an electrified streetcar turning onto Woodward Avenue along the southern edge of Grand Circus Park. The high-contrast exposure captures pedestrian traffic, early commercial delivery trucks, painted advertisements for Truscon Steel, and the rooftop sign for the Fox Washington Theatre, recording the energetic urban center Hall navigated during his engineering work at Ford and Stout.
