Deep Abyss of Tenaya Canyon from Glacier Point Rim (1927)

Standing on the high precipice of Glacier Point, Donald A. Hall Sr. looked northeast into the dramatic, shadowed abyss of Tenaya Canyon. Flanked by the massive granite bulk of Half Dome and the towering wall of Mount Watkins, the deep glacial canyon plunges toward the valley floor, with snow patches clinging to high alpine ridges in the distance, recording one of the most rugged, inaccessible wilderness chasms in Yosemite.
