Donald A. Hall Sr. Precision Drafting Instrument Set in Fitted Case (Circa 1927)

Preserved in its original fitted velvet-lined case, this professional German silver and tool-steel drafting set was owned and used by Donald A. Hall Sr. during the creation of the Spirit of St. Louis. The set contains technical ruling pens, precision compasses, dividers, lengthening bars, and micro-adjusters utilized on Hall's drafting board at Ryan Airlines to ink the master lofting lines, wing spar cross-sections, and fuselage station geometry for the historic transatlantic monoplane.
