Ryan B-1 Brougham Cabin Monoplane in Flight (1927)

An exceptionally significant historical document from the Hall archive, capturing the Ryan B-1 Brougham in powered flight. Engineered by Donald A. Hall Sr. as Chief Engineer of Ryan Airlines immediately following his design of the Spirit of St. Louis, the high-wing five-place commercial transport is powered by a 220-horsepower Wright J-5 Whirlwind radial engine. Featuring outrigger landing gear struts and the winged Ryan emblem along the cabin fuselage, this image represents the pioneering commercial airliner that established Ryan as a major manufacturer.
