High-Altitude View Over Forested Basin (1927)

A sweeping high-altitude view from a boulder-strewn summit looking out over a wide forested valley with a distinct volcanic cinder cone in the midground. — High-Altitude View Over Forested Basin (1927) · Donald A. Hall Estate Collection

Reaching an exposed rocky summit in 1927, Donald A. Hall Sr. photographed this sweeping view overlooking an expansive forested basin and distant volcanic formations. The panoramic framing mirrors the bird's-eye perspective he routinely analyzed as an aircraft designer.
