An authentic hardwood precision drafting instrument case manufactured by Keuffel & Esser Co. of New York, preserved in the engineering archives of Donald A. Hall Sr. The case features dual metal reinforcement sliding bars and a stamped diamond trademark reading "TRADE MARK / K&E CO. / KEUFFEL & ESSER CO. / NEW YORK". This protective case housed Hall's specialized mathematical and drafting tools utilized at Ryan Airlines during the creation of the Spirit of St. Louis.
