Donald A. Hall Estate Collection
Vintage C.S. Hammond Bird's-Eye Perspective Map of New York City (Circa 1920)

Preserved from Donald A. Hall Sr.'s early professional career in New York, this fragile folding bird's-eye lithographic map published by C.S. Hammond & Co. provides an expansive aerial-style perspective of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the surrounding maritime waterways. Acquired during his engineering studies at the Pratt Institute and his tenure at the Curtiss Aeroplane & Motor Company on Long Island, the map documents the urban and coastal landscape Hall navigated before moving west to Douglas Aircraft.
