Pilot in Cockpit of Experimental "MTE" Lightplane (Circa 1925)

Inside a wooden workshop hangar, a pilot leans on the padded cockpit coaming of a lightweight experimental monoplane hand-lettered MTE across its fabric fuselage. Donald A. Hall Sr. recorded this close study of grassroots lightplane prototyping, capturing the pilot's seated position relative to the parasol wing center section, steel-tube bracing, and minimalist structural woodwork common in mid-1920s homebuilt and experimental aircraft.
