Engineering graph hand-plotted by Donald A. Hall showing take-off distance versus gross weight from Camp Kearny flight tests.
Donald A. Hall Master Take-Off Performance Chart from Camp Kearny Tests (1927) · Donald A. Hall Estate Collection

A vintage positive slide reproduction of Donald A. Hall's master hand-plotted flight test graph titled "TAKE-OFF PERFORMANCE TESTS", conducted at Camp Kearny on May 4, 1927. Signed "DAH/gog", the chart plots gross weight from 1,000 to 6,000 pounds against takeoff roll distance in feet. Plotting empirical test points at 36, 71, 110, 150, and 301 gallons of fuel, Hall drew a dashed extrapolation curve predicting a 2,300-foot run for the 5,135-pound design gross weight and 2,450 feet for the 5,250-pound maximum overload weight, providing the critical data Lindbergh used for his takeoff at Roosevelt Field.
