Donald A. Hall Sr. captured this dynamic action view of infantrymen charging across a caliche-strewn field while an Army Air Service biplane makes a low-level tactical strafing run just above the brush. With another biplane banking steeply in the background, the photograph records live tactical war games staged by the 2nd Division and Air Service units from Brooks and Kelly Fields in Texas, showcasing the hazardous realities of low-altitude tactical flying.
