Ryan NYP In-Flight Cruise Schedule: Air Speed and RPM vs. Distance (Sheet 7) (1927)

An indispensable master flight management chart (Sheet 7) titled "AIR SPEED AND R.P.M. VS. DISTANCE" drawn by Chief Engineer Donald A. Hall Sr. The graph defines the transatlantic operational flight schedule across 4,110 miles, plotting airspeed and Wright Whirlwind RPM against distance from start. It instructed Lindbergh to gradually throttle back the engine from 1,750 RPM and ~102 mph at heavy takeoff weight down to 1,500 RPM and ~78 mph as fuel burned off, optimizing engine longevity and fuel economy.
